DPD reaches out to Green Beret Foundation

From the Desk of the Police Chief:

In light of the recent losses experienced by JBLM’s 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), and in an effort to provide additional support to military families who call DuPont home, we have reached out to the Green Beret Foundation. Both the DuPont Police Department and the Green Beret Foundation have agreed upon a cooperative, exploratory effort to find ways we can better support DuPont’s Special Forces community, particularly during times of crisis. Working together, we hope the DuPont Police Department can become a model for civilian police agencies who serve a military community.

While we wish it were under better circumstances, we are looking forward to this partnership. There will be more information forthcoming as this effort develops.
