DuPont Parks & Recreation Auction Raises $25,063

The 2019 Annual Parks & Recreation Auction held on October 12th raised $25,063 for 2020 programming! These funds will go towards youth, adult, and senior recreation opportunities.

The Dessert Dash was also a success! It had it’s best year yet and raised $2,500, which equates to 10% of the proceeds! Thank you Councilmember Shawna Gasak for coordinating this year after year.

“I want to thank you all for your contributions of baskets, time, energy and continuous support of Parks & Recreation. It means a great deal that the community is so receptive and giving. I look forward to 2020” said Events & Recreation Coordinator Amy Walker.

The 2019 Parks & Recreation Auction was sponsored by CalPortland and Thomas Architectural Studious. Special thanks to our local businesses, residents, dessert dash bakers and organizations for their amazing contributions to help make this event a success.

Many thanks to the following volunteers who helped throughout the day: Carol Estep, Kathleen Trotter, Ruth Egger, Councilmember Gasak, Roy Coffey, Larry Wilcox, DuPont Teen League, Renee Buck, Maame Bassaw, Patrick Lewis, Lisa Hull, Kendra Harris, Melanie and Ryan Stone, Jessica Fester, PARCS DuPont, Councilmember Gruba, Mayor Courts, Nakita Oaksmith, Jeff and Loujanna Rohuer, Jack Curtis and CalPortland employees!
