It is time to renew your pet’s annual license tags! Pet tags are annual and expire at the end of the year. Tags are not pro-rated. All dogs and cats residing in DuPont that are 3 months of age or older need to be licensed. If this is your first time licensing, proof of spay or neuter must be submitted if pet is over 1 year of age or a vet’s note listing why the alteration hasn’t been done is to be provided with your application. Renewals do not need this documentation unless the alteration occurred since your past license application. ALL applications will require current vaccination records. A vet’s note is also required if certain vaccinations, especially rabies, can not be administered.
Due to COVID-19, DuPont City Hall is closed to the public. Pet licensing applications can now be submitted online! You can learn more about this and pet licensing here: https://www.dupontwa.gov/211/Animal-Control-Pet-Licensing. If you submit your application online, you will need to attach required documentations following the prompt. Applications may take 1-2 business days to process and you will then receive an invoice from Seamless Docs where you can make a payment with a credit card.
You can also print out your application(s), but you will still need to provide a copy of required documentations. You can place these with your proper payment into the utility dropbox which can be found on the northeast side of the DuPont Civic Center parking lot by the Sequalitchew Creek Trail Head. Please do not place cash into the dropbox- checks only!
All tags will be mailed to your provided address following reception of payment. All residents have until March 2, 2021, to renew or license their pet before late fees will be applied. Any new resident or pet owner has 30 days following the move-in date or new ownership of pet to license prior to late fees being applied.
